Welcome! I made it to week three of PR&P! This week’s theme is All That Glitters. My blog + business are both called Glitter+Wit, so I really hope I lived up to any expectations that may have been made from my name. HA! Enjoy!
For The Story and The Sewing, visit the voting post at Project Run and Play (and vote for me!!).

None other than Queen EB, who is actually taking her turn with illness this week. Just a cough and slight fever, but still a trooper to take such great photos! She loves the outfit, so I guess that helped, too. :)
ME: Okay, now drop the skirt…
ME: Seriously…drop it…
She thinks it’s hilarious to torture me so during photoshoots. Why aren’t there emoji in blog posts? Insert crying-laughing emoji here.
This is how EB insisted the outfit should be worn: skirt slung low on the hips + open-backed top worn as a jacket (which is why I drafted the tank right before the photoshoot).
Her wish was my command. I really loved that she wanted to have a say in this outfit. Usually I have to bribe her with chocolate chips, but she was loving the attention this time!
A look at the tank beneath the “jacket.”
How I had envisioned this week’s PR&P look: skirt worn at the waist, open-back top worn as such. I’m glad she pushed me to add another piece this week. In fact, I think I may like her way even better than my own!
Okay, I guess I do prefer the skirt length when worn at the waist…
Bow in back…
bow in front!
I had a lot of fun mixing prints and textures this week. About halfway through, I was worried it wouldn’t turn out. That black+silver tank tied it all together.
The edges of the tank, as well as the straps, are made from my good old friend Foldover Elastic. You need some.
The crown is my own design. I sell them in many different fabrics (they are a big hit at local indie craft fairs!), but this print is one of my first (and one of my favorite). The fabric is a gorgeous Liberty of London Tana Lawn. It is covered in a mosaic of colorful gemstones and jewels–match made in heaven for an All That Glitters theme.
Last (but never least), The Nope:
As always, check out the designers post at PR&P here (and vote for your favorite, which I hope is ME!). You’ll find more information about the inspiration for my look, and the sewing techniques I employed. Until next time!
